Northwest VEG

Northwest VEG is a nonprofit based in Portland, Oregon that has been running vegan events and education across the Portland–Vancouver area since 2003. It puts on Northwest VegFest, the region's largest vegan festival, along with monthly potlucks in Portland, Vancouver and Hillsboro, restaurant dine-outs, cooking demonstrations and a six-week introductory course. The group also staffs information booths at more than 35 community events a year, handing out free starter kits and recipes. Everything served, sampled or sold at their events must be fully vegan under a written policy that rules out meat, eggs, fish, dairy, honey and leather.
