VeganFestsVeganFests

Every event here is 100% vegan. That's the whole idea.

VeganFests is a worldwide directory of vegan events — festivals, markets, potlucks, supper clubs, retreats, socials, and everything in between — plus the vegan businesses and places to stay around them.

One rule holds it all together: if it's listed here, it's fully vegan. Not "vegan-friendly." Not "great vegan options." When you find an event on VeganFests, you shouldn't have to read the fine print, message the organizer, or scan the stall list. We've done that already.

Why we exist

Almost every events site can show you something "vegan-friendly." But the gatherings that are vegan through and through — where every stall, every glass, every sample is something you can trust — are scattered across Facebook groups, Meetup pages, and word of mouth. They deserved one home. This is it.

What we believe

Veganism is about animals. Not a diet, not an aesthetic — a decision to leave animals out of what we eat, wear, and do. That definition (The Vegan Society's, from 1944) is the yardstick for everything we list.

Events are how it grows. People find veganism all sorts of ways — a documentary, a friend, an argument that lands. What makes it stick is a world to live it in: a market that smells amazing, a potluck where you feel at home, a festival that shows you how much exists. Every fully-vegan gathering, however small, builds that world.

A potluck counts as much as a festival. We list events of every size and shape. Twelve people in a park is a vegan event. The only bar is that it's 100% vegan.

"100% vegan" means 100% aligned with veganism itself. Veganism, as The Vegan Society defines it, excludes animal use "as far as is possible and practicable" — by its own definition it was never about purity, and neither are we. When we say an event is 100% vegan, we mean the whole event lines up with that definition: what it serves, sells, platforms, and does. The full picture is on our standard page.
