European Institute of Applied Buddhism

The European Institute of Applied Buddhism (EIAB) is a monastic and retreat centre in the Plum Village tradition, set on 23 hectares of forest and meadows near Cologne. All food served is 100% vegan, prepared mindfully by the resident community. The EIAB offers retreats in mindfulness, deep listening, conflict transformation, and engaged Buddhism, drawing practitioners from across Europe. Accommodation is simple and affordable, the atmosphere quiet and welcoming to newcomers.
