Heartwood Haven is a farmed-animal sanctuary on 45 acres in Roy, Washington, founded in 2017. It takes in pigs, cows, turkeys, ducks, chickens and other animals from cruelty and neglect cases, working with law enforcement, shelters and humane societies, and rehomes the animals that can be adopted while caring for the rest for life. It is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries, and runs small-group tours, youth education programmes and fundraising events.
