Indian affiliate of PETA US, founded 2000. Primarily an animal rights advocacy org conducting investigations, legislative work, public education, and celebrity campaigns. Also does some animal rescues and promotes veganism and cruelty-free lifestyle. Not a rescue shelter, but rescue operations are part of its broader mandate.
