Held on the last Saturday of each month at the Christchurch Multicultural Recreation Community Centre in Hagley Park, the Vegan Night Mākete brings together plant-based food vendors, cruelty-free product makers, and vegan not-for-profit groups. Every market features "Gatherings," a free talk series at 6pm covering topics from vegan nutrition and entrepreneurship to animal rights and the environment. All stallholders must operate fully vegan or vegan-aligned businesses, making this a genuinely plant-based community space from end to end.
Tipp: Hours shift seasonally — 3:30–7pm in winter (April–September) and 5–8pm in summer (October–March). Check their Facebook page for the exact date each month, as occasional exceptions apply (e.g. May 2026 was held on the 23rd instead of the 31st).
