The Pittsburgh Vegan Expo & Festival is the city's original and longest-running vegan event series, featuring food vendors, artists, healers, speakers, and nonprofits supporting animal sanctuaries. Founded by Amethyst Cottrill, the organization runs 6–12 fully vegan events each month throughout the year. The 2026 Halloween Festival takes place October 30 at South Park Fairgrounds, with all vendors required to offer entirely plant-based products.
